This invention, Wireless Network Assisted GPS System, is part of our series of inventions native to Newark, New Jersey. We are also counting it toward our new emphasis on women inventors with Sirin Tekinay on the team.
New patent essay added
There’s a new patent essay now available, on a System and Method for Previewing Calls in Communications Systems.
This is another invention to come out of Newark, NJ and is also part of a new theme we want to call attention to: women inventors. One of the patent inventors was Dr. Sukeshini A. Grandhi, from when she was a PhD student at NJIT. We’ll be working to highlight other patents from women inventors in the future.

A new patent essay is now available in the archive: Fluidized Bed Systems and Methods Including Micro-Jet Flow. This patent came out of research done at NJIT, in collaboration with German chemical engineering company, Evonik Carbon Black GmbH.

Two New Patent Essays Added
Two new patent essays, both written by undergraduate students from NJIT, have been added to the site.
1 “Improvised Explosive Device Detection/Destruction/Disablement” discusses a technology to disable IED bombs from a safe distance.
2 “Solventless Mixing Process for Coating Pharmaceutical Ingredients” features a new method for making pharmaceutical tablets hide the bitter taste of the medicine.
